Man Survived Being Stabbed in the Head

Amazing X-Ray show the knife sticking out if his head

This amazing X-ray shows how a man survived being stabbed in the skull with a five-inch knife.

The 38 year old dad Wen Wen walked into a hospital casualty room in Xi'an, central China, with the entire blade buried in his head and just the handle sticking out.

One ER nurse fainted as Wen walked up to reception at the Jiaotong University clinic with the hilt poking out of his head and casually answered questions about his injury.

The razor sharp blade sunk into Wen's head above his right ear, down into the nasal cavity and finally emerged into his mouth.

Astonishingly it missed several major arteries, blood vessels and nerves.

"He's incredibly lucky. He could walk and talk perfectly and he will make a full recovery. One or two centimetres in another direction, though, and he would be dead," said one medic.

Wen told doctors he'd been stabbed by his 76-year-old father who has now fled the family home.

"I was cleaning up the house when my father attacked me and did this to me with just one strike of the knife.

"He's old but sane and rational and I've no idea why he did it. I'm worried that he might think he's in trouble now and won't come back to the family," he said

Inverted American Flag Illusion

You have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen in this illusion, but it is pretty cool, regardless. Stare at the center of the flag for at least 20 second - even longer to enhance the effect - and then look at the white area of your computer screen, a light colored wall, or a white peice of paper.

Now try this - try it again, but this time don't stare at the center. Move your eyes over to the right or left. Then, when you are looking at the after image of the flag, as your eyes try to focus on it, you'll see that they can't, and the flag will continue to slide around in your vision. As you may have guessed, this is because the image is burned into a certain place on your eye, and as you naturally will try to focus on the center and get it to stop moving, it will move around even more.

You've probably seen something similiar when you look at a bright light or even the sun.

I realize that not everyone who visits this site is from America, so I do plan to add a few more countries' flags in the futre. Pretty cool American Flag optcial illusion, isn't it?

This is a perfect optical illusion for kids and adults!

Classic Optical Illusion in Books

This picture is another one we created specficially for the site, so it's yet another illusion that you won't find anywhere else. This uses a classic type of optical illusion, similar to the devil's pitchfork, or the impossible columns. What appears to be a stack of four books, is actually not what it seems at all. It's an impossible illusion, made from an impossible shape!

The Illuion book just blends into the background and sort of vanishes. In addition, if you look at the left side, it appears that there are really only two books Science and History. Yet if you read the spide of the books, you'll see that Biology, Science, Illusion, and History all appear. All in all, its quite the oddity, but most important, it's a fun eye trick! And just in case you're wondering, our favorite subject is Illusion!

A man's Big Hat Illusion

manshat

See the letters: A, B, C, and D in this picture of a man with a hat. Line A-B is the same distance as line C-D! You sure wouldn't think so by looking!

Horizontal Circles Eye Trick Illusion

Here's what to do for this Optical Illusion in above Picture:

Check out these circles. After you've been looking at the picture for awhile, you'll star to think that the circles lines are actually pointing down, and are not parallel to the edges of the picture.

There's also another optical illusion going on in this picture. There really aren't any lines for the circles, it's just your eyes following the pattern.

Angels and Bats? in Illusion

Psychologists used to use images like this to determine if someone was crazy or not. If they saw the bats, they might say that the individual was possessed by the devil! And if they saw the angels, they could also accuse the person of being insane, because they'd say that by not seeing the bats first, you are ignoring the obvious signs of the devil. Eventually the subject would get confused (much like you may be right now) and they'd have the perfect excuse to lock them up in an insane asylum. Sheesh!

Hand Painted Crocodile Illusion

Take a look at the art below, which looks like a crocodile/snake but the unusual thing about this picture...
